Burst Summer
Invites
Elegant. Bright. Marble. Fresh.
Client requested a new design for their invitations including the following formats that would be sent through the mail:
- Oversized Postcard Invite (5.5675in × 11in)
- Wedding Style Invite (8.375in × 11in)
enclosed in an envelope (6 in × 9 in) - Self-Mailer Invite (8.5in × 11in)
The client was hosting a summer party that would include a seminar. They wanted to include some fun bursting elements to represent fireworks and have a focus on sea food that you specifically eat with your hands. While it was a summer party they did not want to include any colors or elements that could be attributed with Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. This meant that I could not include any imagery of stars, stripes, too much white and the blue and red color combo. They liked the idea of a sleek but simple black look with highlights of the type of food that would be served during the party.
They wanted 3 variations to be created. A Self-Mailer that would be sent to their clients in the surrounding area, an Oversized Postcard that would eb sent to clients that most likely won’t come or are too far away from the radius of the party location and a Wedding style invite that could be used to pass out while they were at their office.
